The effects of carbonhydrates, nitrogens, minerals and vitamins in synthetic medium on themycelial growth of r matsutake were determined. Gucose, fructose and mannose were suitable for the growth.With regard to nitrogen sources, sahsfactory results were obtained use of ammonium njtrogen, including flutarnine,(NH4),HPO4 and ammonium tartrate. It was also found that KH2PO4, MgSO' 7H2O, V,B and nicotine acidcould great1y stimulate the growth. A new medium for mycelial growth of T matsutahe was also proposed.
