THE GENUS HAPLOPORUS IN CHINA

Abstract:
Haploporus Sing, was a monotypic genus which is well characterized by its peculiar asperulate, dextrinoid spores and the strong scent of anise. A new species, H. amarus Zeng et Bai, is described in this paper. This species was collected from Changbaishan and is distinguished from the known species, H. odorus (Sommerf.: Fr.) Sing., by ity cystidiole, smaller spores and strong scent of almond. The establishment, denomination and limitation of the genus are also discussed. The type specimen of the new species is deposited in the Herbarium of Botany, Department of Biology, Northeast Normal University, Changchun.
