THE LICHEN GENUS STICTA FROM YUNNAN OF CHINA

Six Sticta species from Yunnan of China are reported in this paper. Among them S. praetextata is new to China; S. duplolimbata, S. gracilis, and S. weigelii are recorded in lichen flora of Yunnan for the first time. Lichen substances of each species were determined with TLC method. S. nylanderiana contains congyrophoric acid in addition to gyrophoric acid. An unidentified substance (C+ yellow, K.C+ red) at Rf class 4-5 in solvent A or Rf class 3 in solvent C is found in S. weigelii which was generally considered not to produce lichen substance.
