RUST FLORA OF THE FOREST OF QINLING MOUNTAINS

Abstract:
More than 90 species of rust fingi belonging to 30 genera were collected by the authors from the forest of Qinling Mountains in 1983 ~ 1995.Ecological and biogeographical analysis of these rusts revealed that the rusts of temperate zone were predominant, amounting to 65% of the total known genera,distributing mainly in coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests in alt.1300 ~ 2800m. East Asian element shares the highest percentage, amounting to more than 30% of the total number of known species. Eurasian - North Ainerican element and paleotemperate element account for less than 30% of the total numberof species. In addition, there are also some paleotropical species, accounting for 10%of the total. The rust flora belongs to East Asian rust flora with ancient origin.
