TWO NEW SPECIES OF HYPOGYMNIA (NYL.) NYL. (HYPOGYMNIACEAE, ASCOMYCOTINA)
|
Abstract:
Two new species of Hypogymnia from Yunnan of China, Hypogymnia subpruinosa Chen and H. lijiangensis Chen, are described in the present paper. H. subpruinosa Chen is close to H. pruinosa Wei et Jiang, but it is distinguished by containing physodic acid and physodalic acid (TLC) which are absent in H.p ruino-sa. Moreover, the pruina of H. pruinosa is much thicker than that of H. subpruinosa and covers over the elevated upper surface. H. lijiangensis Chen resembles H. subvittata (Zhao) Wei in external appearance, but it differs in containing physodic and physodalic acids, and having a thin pruina covered on the upper surface near the top of lobes. However, H. subvittuta lacks pruina and contains neither physodic acid nor physodalic acid. Type specimens of these two new species are deposited in HMAS-L(Bejiing).
