In this paper, twenty-three species of Asterina Lev., including two new species and fifteen new records, are reported from China. The two new species are: Asterina helicteris Y. S. Ouyang et Y. X. Hu parasitic on Helicteres angustifilia Linn. (Sterculiaceae) and Asterina mischocarpi Y. S. Ouyang et Y. X. Hu parasitic on Mischocarpus hainanensis H. S. Lo (Sapindaceae). All specimens studied are deposited in the Guangdong Institute of Microbiology, Guangzhou (GDIM ), China.
