LACTARIUS ATROSQUAMULOSUS SP.NOV.FROM CHINA
|
Abstract:
In this paper, a species Lactarius atrosquamulosus, from Jilin, Chi -na, is proposed as a new. The dry and grey-black pileus, the pileus cuticle consisting of repent hyphae which clustered in fasicles as the squamuloses, the unchanging latex and the strong fragrant basidioma show L. atrosquamulosus to be a member of sect. Russulares, subsect. Colorati. In this subsection, L. atrosquamulosus is extremely similar to L . pusillus Bres. in figure and size. But the pileus of the latter is brownish to grayish alutaceous, its lamellae lutescent, stipe stuffed with caulocystidia and the fruitbody odorless. L . atrosquamulosus is also similar to L . squamulosus Bi et Li in figure and size. But their color and the construction of the scales are different. In addition, no cheilocystidia in hymenium of L. squamulosus and its pleurocystidia are shorter. Specimen of L . atrosquamulosus is deposited in the herbarium of Dept. Biolo -gy, Northeast Normal University (HNENU).
