STUDIES ON BIOLOGY OF OIDIA IN FLAMMULINA VELUTIPES
|
Abstract:
Single oidial isolates of Flammulina velutipes were obtained by isolatingoidia emerged from myceliujn. Their occurrence, germination, nuclear behavior andPOlarihes of sexuality of oidia in different oidial isolates were also detendned. The experimental resultS indicated that both the mono--and di--caryons could giverise to oidia. Most of oidia were found to be cylindrical or oval in shape, only a fewwere round or y--shaped. Oidia gewhnared easily and the diameter of germ tuble wasusually wider than that of oidia. india produced by monocaryons were all uninucleatoand had the same sexUality as that of the parental mycelium. Oidia from dictionswere also uninucleate. Binucleate or mulhnucleare oidia had not been discovered. APOrtion of the oidia produced by dicryon had the same mating type of one parentalmyceliuxn, while the other portion had the same mahng type as the other parentwhich gave rise tO the dicaryon.
