Locally scheduling for grid resource management

Abstract:
Synthesizing the distance, available bandwidth and costs between communication entities, a formal model of abstract distance was proposed. Combining the grid resource model and the grid application model, a local resource scheduling algorithm was described, which used the abstract distance as criteria to select resource. Compared with other classic algorithms, this scheduling algorithm improved the such aspects as costs, task finishing time and successful rate of task execution, which was validated by the simulation experiments.
