New Researches for Performance Monitoring of Desktop Grid

After studying performance monitoring of desktop grid system based on sandbox, a monitoring tool which built a global, accurate, and continuous view of resource utilization for desktop grid was presented. The test results demonstrated that the monitoring tool could scale to large desktop grid with low cost of resource consumption (less than 0.1%) on desktop PCs. Although the monitoring tool developed with the Entropia DCGrid platform, it was easily integrated into other desktop grid system, and existing grid information service was supported.
