Study of virtual private network based on layer two tunneling protocol

Abstract:
We analyzed the layer two tunneling protocol (L2TP) and the virtual private network (VPN) based on the protocol, as well as the four modeling types of the VPN. In this article, we gave a general designing plan of VPN packet, and proposed an implementation of this VPN. Compared with other layer two VPNs, L2TP VPN can provide convenient and flexible applications.
