Study on the Method for Constructing the Road 3D Model Based on the CDT Theory

The key to realize the 3D road visualization is to establish the 3D road model. The methods of establishing the 3D road model were analyzed. In order to overcome the existing insufficiencies, a method of integrating the road surface design model and the ground surface model was proposed, This method based on the theory of inserting points and constraint segments in CDT, it solved the problem of erasing the ground surface points that were located on the road design region. So the 3D road model whose appearance and inner topological relationship are both integrated was created successfully.
