Ontology similarity search for Web services
|
Abstract:
Web Services provide a loose coupling way for the development of software and services. The software developers register their service in UDDI, on the other hand the customers of the service or the compound service developers search and find the specification of the service in UDDI. With the increase of Web service specification in UDDI, it is difficult to find out a suitable Web service in UDDI, just as finding a correct Web page in Internet. The existing technologies rely on the keyword match to search Web Services. For the sparse data in the specification of Web Service, the traditional information retrieval technologies are not applicable to resolve the issue. Therefore, a Web Services search and retrieval technology based on ontology was provided to make full use of the specification of Web Services in UDDI and find out correct Web Services. On the other side, ontology was used to describe the relations in the specification of Web Services and Ontology Similarity was used to compare and match Web Services.
