The Botnet is a network which is composed of bets. All bets can communicate with the attacker and are controled by it. The Botnet has become a tremendous threat of our Intemet. The damage of the Botnet is very serious, because the number of PCs of the Botnet is very large. The definition, the history and the damage caused by the Botnet were described. Several methods for studying the Botnet were introduced and the measures to cope with it were given. The trends of the Botnet were analyzed briefly.
