Application of modified Morlet wavelet in featureextraction of radar signal to intra-pulse

In order to recognize different modulation methods of radar signals, estimating accurately the radar signal of the instantaneous frequency to analysis the signal's intra-pulse characteristics. By analyzing the wavelet-ridge theory and the affect of various parameters of the Morlet wavelet to extract the modulated radar signal wavelet-ridge characteristics, this paper proposed a modified Morlet wavelet. Then according to different modulation type of radar signals, it analyzed the correct conditions of wavelet-ridge features extraction, and proposed a method which called wavelet-ridge, it based on modified Morlet wavelet and could estimate instantaneous frequency of the radar signal. Simulation results show that, compared with common Morlet wavelet, based on the improved Morlet wavelet-ridge extract signal features have better precision and less noise.
