Concurrent multipath transfer for multi-priority service flows
|
Abstract:
Existing concurrent multipath transfer for multi-service can't support the priorities of the services. This paper proposed a multi-priority concurrent multipath transfer model for multi-service by mapping the service priorities to multipath. Based on queuing theory, it used a multi-dimension Markov chain to describe the model and converted the multi-dimension Markov chain to one-dimension by a two-phase PH distribution. Then it studied the model quantitatively through matrix analy-tic methods, from which it derived the average queue length and average waiting time of the model. Finally, compared the proposed model with simple multi-service single path model, multi-priority service single path model and simple multi-service multipath model through numerical analysis. The results show that the packets with higher priority of the multi-priority service multipath model can obtain higher processing capability no matter how the service arrival rate changes, which illustrates that the multi-priority service multipath model can support the priorities of the services in concurrent multipath transfer.
