Location algorithm based on virtual tag constructed by historical data

In the RFID location algorithm, using the statistical model of received signal strength for directly positioning is not accurate. And the way of using reference tag leads to signal easily collides, inconvenient for out going. So this paper proposed a new approach based on virtual tag RFID positioning algorithm called VIREH to overcome the above disadvantages. With the help of historical data, it constructed virtual reference tags constructed, and then used the virtual tags, instead of actual reference tags, for positioning. According to the VIREH algorithm, it developed a RFID location system based on Android mobile devices, used the VIREH algorithm in the system and perform a location test. The test result shows that the VIREH algorithm's accuracy is better than directly algorithm, and compare with using actual reference tag, the VIREH algorithm does not significantly decrease. The algorithm can improve the positional accuracy.
