Fast inter mode decision algorithm in multi-view video compression based on H.264
基于H.264的立体视频压缩中的快速帧间模式选择算法*

This paper aimed to increase multi-view video encoding speed on guaranteed PSNR and bitrate. First, the paper made a statistic analysis of each mode of multi-view video sequences. Then, made a comparison of fast inter mode decision algorithm to come to a conclusion that fast inter mode decision algorithm based on the intrinsic complexity of the macroblock should be used for encoding. The experimental results indicate that this algorithm highly increases the H.264 multi-view video encoding speed on premise of almost invariant image quality and compression efficiency.
