Enhanced discontinuous reception mechanism for power saving in TD-LTE
增强DRX技术对TD-LTE系统节能机制中的研究与应用*

In order to reduce the power consumption of battery, this paper introduced a kind of power saving mechanism in mobile communication, named DRX. It discussed and showed DRX parameters and features in TD-LTE. By establishing TD-LTE DRX model to the enhance DRX mechanism. Based on the analytical model, this paper investigated the DRX parameters and improved the power saving performance. Finally, the proper choice of these parameters (short DRX timer, long DRX timer, inactivity timer and on duration timer) allowed for reducing power consumption in time and keeping the best user experience.
