Research of underwater mobile sensor network algorithm based on water flow

Abstract:
With the development of ocean exploitation and sea military technology all over the world, underwater sensors network (UWSN) has become a very recent network topic. Since very few years, it attracts a growing interest from the network community. In the UWSN research area it is a key problem about how to recover sensing areas and decrease energy consuming of the network. As a kind of widely used devices, the mobile nodes such as AUVs can recover sensing areas and increase covering efficiency. In order to decrease the energy cost of mobile nodes, proposed a mobile algorithm that made use of the power of water flow and buoyancy in the mobile path. Performance of the algorithms is evaluated in terms of energy consumption under the considerations of different water flow.
