This paper summarized the cloud model background, basis theory and the process of development. Focused on discussing the cloud model theory, techniques and methods. Introduced the application achievement of many areas of cloud model such as data mining, algorithm improvement, network security and so on. According to the some problem of the cloud model research, put forward the effective ideas for further research.
