Random key predistribution scheme for sensor networks based on hexagon deployment model
|
Abstract:
The basic random key predistribution scheme and most of existing key management scheme using deployment knowledge have a few of shortcomings, such as having difficulty in trading off between the security connectivity and the resi-lience against the node capture attacks and et al.In order to address these problems, this paper proposed a random key predistribution scheme for wireless sensor networks based on hexagon deployment model. The scheme utilized the characteristics of the hexagon deployment model sufficiently to better the networks’ security and performance, which first dividing the deployment field into a number of non-overlapping hexagon grid cells, sequentially classified the sensor nodes into two kinds according to their identity numbers, and finally preloaded the every node with its individually relevant keys on the basis of its expected grid location as well as its node kind.Analysis and simulations show that the proposed scheme has the higher security connectivity and the stronger ability of resilience to the node capture attacks while expending the same storage spaces.
