USAN-AAM method for fast human facial features location
USAN-AAM人脸特征点快速定位方法*

Inverse compositional algorithm based AAM is a fast and efficient algorithm for human facial feature location. However, only based on image intensities, plain AAM may not bring satisfactory location precision, particularly, when illumination varies. This paper proposed an improved AAM method, namely USAN-AAM, to improve the locating performance. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms plain AAM in precision and robustness.
