Approach for supporting creative architectural wall shape design
|
Abstract:
The automated design of architectural wall was further studied, and a new method for architectural wall design was developed in this paper. The initial components were defined by a linear inequality surrounding convex space and they were limited in a bounding box of certain measurement which lies in origin of coordinates and the spatial relations of these initial components were defined. In view of the special architectural wall, the spatial relations were limited to the intersection relations. There were two ways to define the spatial relations. One was configured manually by user; the other was configured by the computer randomly, using vector space positioning method to judge the effectiveness of spatial relations. If the spatial relationship is valid, then we execute the two shape rules iteratively and different shapes were obtained by Computing. Different spatial relations and genetic algebra could obtain different shapes, which achieved the automation of architectural wall design, thus the aim of aided design were achieved
