Study on multiple access protocol of unmanned aerial vehicles broadband data link

Abstract:
This paper introduced the distribution according to need mechanism and proposed a new protocol supported QoS named DA-TDMA in allusion to the characters of UAV broadband data-link networking and shortcomings of the fixed TDMA which was unable to satisfy the changing of network topology. The performances of DA-TDMA, especially the throughput and delay changing were deduced theoretically according to the Little theorem and queuing theory etc. Finally, simulated the DA-TDMA protocol by OPNET. And results indicate that it can satisfy the throughput and delay demands fine with different priorities of packets.
