This paper analyzed mobile WiMAX physical layer techniques and the impacts of varied parameters on passive radar application firstly. The waveform analysis demonstrated that mobile WiMAX signal could provide higher range resolution and more flexible cell-coverage. The ambiguity function was bed of nails type. Neither inter-frame nor intra-frame ambiguities would affect the system performance.
