NC-OFDM based multi-user dynamic spectrum allocation strategies
|
Abstract:
This paper addressed the dynamic spectrum allocation problem in non-contiguous orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (NC-OFDM) based multi-user systems. Considered two physical layer factors in the analysis, including the cross-user interference and the channel fading characteristics. Based on the analysis, proposed two modified dynamic spectrum allocation strategies, took into account the two physical factors in sequence. Simulation results verify the spectral efficiency of the proposed strategies. Compared with the best initial dynamic spectrum allocation strategy, the best improved one reduces the outage probability of spectrum allocation by 13% in average. Therefore, taking the advantage of the physical layer properties is a feasible way for dynamic spectrum allocation strategies to improve the spectrum usage.
