Improved GPC control application in multimedia networks
改进的广义预测流量控制策略在多媒体网络中的应用*

With regard to the large propagation delay of multimedia digital service in computer network, this paper analysed the performance of generalized predictive control (GPC) algorithm for flow controlling, and proposed an improved GPC algorithm. The simulation results show that this method can adjust the service send rate and queue in buffer rapidly and effectively, it can increase the link utilization, and can overcome the large delay effectively. The method is easy to implement and has a practical application in multimedia networks.
