Optimal model and algorithm for size of main functional area in distribution central
|
Abstract:
In order to implement its main functions, the distribution central(DC) is divided into some functional areas, each of them fulfills different operation and provides different value-added service. For minimizing the operation cost of DC under the condition of the total usable area constraint, it requires to determine rationally the size of each main functional area as well as the product allocation to the main functional areas, according to the types and quantity of the freight come into the DC. Based on the function of the areas, the freight flows in the distribution central are described as eight basic flows. A optimization model is presented and a bi-level simulated annealing algorithm is developed for it. The model and effectiveness of the algorithm are clarified by computational experiments.
