Symbol rate estimation method of MPSK signals based on cyclic spectrum

Aiming at the practical application of spectrum sensing, this paper studies the cyclic spectrum characteristics of MPSK signals which filtered by pulse shaping filter based on the cyclic stationary theory. By analyzing the affect of excess bandwidth to cyclic spectrum estimation, a symbol rate estimation algorithm which combines constant amplitude processing with spectrally smoothed cyclic periodogram is provided .Simulation result shows that the proposed algorithm can achieve good performance for limited data length, and even when excess bandwidth is small, the algorithm can estimate the symbol rate efficiently.
