Under the background of scientific data grid,this paper simply presented the advantages of IPv6 and the benefit from IPv6 for grid system,and then provided a general introduction to scientific data grid and DAS system.Carefully analyzed some key technologies of porting DAS system to IPv6.Finally,pointed the main works of the implementation of porting DAS system to IPv6.
