Method to locate vehicle license plate based on characteristic of color variation
基于车牌色彩变化特征的车牌定位方法*

To locate the vehicle license plate with complicated background,this paper proposed a method based on characteri-stic of color variation.To distinguish different color area,transformed the color figure from RGB color space to HSV color space.Then in HSV space,distilled the area which color was same to the plate background,and picked up the area which color was same to the plate characters,too.Next,obtained via edge extraction,binarization,and AND operation,the color edge.At last,by texture analysis,could locate the vehicle license plate.
