Ear recognition based on wavelet transform and orthogonal centroids algorithm

This paper proposed a quick new vectors construction method for ear retrieval based on wavelet transform and orthogonal centroids algorithm. It also compared the new method to the famous PCA-LDA method. The experimental results on USTB-79 ear database show that the proposed method can get approximately equal retrieval accuracy to PCA-LDA method, but it performs much better in speed than the latter.
