Range-based and distributed node localization in wireless sensor networks

Abstract:
This paper set out to explore node localization in underwater wireless sensor networks and proposed a scalable and distributed anchor-free algorithm of node localization.The algorithm had no use for additional hardware and only adopted the distances between the nodes to build a relative coordinate system on which to compute relative position of all nodes.It introduced the algorithm in detail and discussed the influence of refinement process and communication radius to the precision.Simulation results show that the proposed localization of node is reasonable.The algorithm of node localization is capable of supporting the further step of target-tracking,geography route and administration of networks efficiently and precisely.
