Core point aligment algorithm based on identification mask
一种基于模板的指纹核心点定位算法

This paper proposed a new algorithm to overcome the shortages of the traditional methods. The algorithm was based on identification mask and analysis of the finger character. It divided the whole process into two stages. The first stage was to find the alternative points. The second stage was to make sure the real core point using the identification mask. Verified the effectiveness of the approach on the fingerprint database of FVC2004. Experiments show that this approach can locate a core point with high accuracy for all kinds of fingerprints.
