Video coding method based on human visual system

Abstract:
This paper presented a video coding method based on human visual system. Through the use of the feature of the human visual system, detecting the fovea point and fovea region, computing the weight of fovea region, according to weight of fovea region to decide the size of motion compensated block and bit allocation.Proposed bit allocation strategy according to the complexity of region and the weight of fovea region. Software simulation results show that the method can improve the image quality both objectively and subjectively.
