Improving flooding protocol for unstructured P2P network

This paper proposed an improving flooding protocol. The main two improvements: a) to make protocol had good granularity, used search budget in the protocol instead of TTL; b) to reduce overhead, conducted on-the-fly estimation of the popularity of the searched item and relayed the search message into the network. The experimental evaluations show that the new protocol has lower message overhead and response time.
