Research on Image Watermarking Algorithm Based on Wavelet Contrast

Abstract:
According to the characteristic of HVS proposed a adaptive watermarking algorithm based on wavelet contrast.First,the host image was divided into non-overlapped blocks with fixed size.The blocks were then classified into two classes-strong textured block and weak textured block.Then each block was decomposed into wavelet coefficients.The wavelet contrast decided both the position which to be embedded and the strength of the watermark.Due to wavelet contrast's indication of the luminance contrast of the image,this algorithm could achieve adaptively embedding.Experimental results prove that the watermark is imperceptible and is robust enough to filtering,additive noise and JPEG compression.
