Efficient Load Balancing-based Mechanism of Data Collection for Intrusion Detection

Aiming to reduce the workload of target hosts in intrusion detection systems, this paper proposes a new efficient mobile Agent-based mechanism for data collection using load balancing technology. It can dynamically distribute computing tasks between target hosts according to current workload of hosts , which can make the most of computing ability of hosts to assure that intrusion is detected timely.
