Study on B-Reno''s performance over packet switching networks
|
Abstract:
This paper studied the performance of B-Reno over packet switching networks through experiments of simulations. Used different network topologies and link parameters in these experiments which studied the throughput and TCP-friendliness of B-Reno and compared them with those of other TCP implementations. Simulation results indicate that over packet switching networks B-Reno can achieve throughput over 10% higher than that of Reno and New-Reno, and similar with that of Sack. Meanwhile, when contends with Reno, the traditional TCP version, in shared channels, B-Reno can also achieve good TCP-friendliness. Simulation results prove that B-Reno can achieve good performances over packet switching networks.
