A Fast SAR Image Compression Method at Low Bit-rate
一种低比特率下的快速SAR图像压缩方法

Propose a fast compression algorithm for SAR image at low bit-rate. Firstly down-sample SAR image to increase the relativity between pixels, and then apply wavelet packet decomposition, followed by zero-block based coding. Experiment shows that the proposed method achieves better visual quality than JPEG2000 method and keeps edge information more accurately. Due to the simplicity, the algorithm is suit for real-time implementation.
