Study on 3D Cartoon Based on Point-sampled
|
Abstract:
A method is presented for animating objects with stiff elastic and highly plastic. The surface based on point-sampled can be split and merged to dynamically adapt the surface sampling density during simulation. The theory of elasticity is used in the simulation, stress, strain, elastic body force are computed in the method of MLS. An elegant simulating plastic behavior is by using strain state variables. The approach based on vector displacement is to simulation the deformation of the model. The multi-representation approach is used to improve the quality of surfaces. The system is capable of simulating a wide range of elastically and plastically deformable objects, which can melt, flow, split and merge. The simulation is suitable for both real-time interaction as well as high quality off-line rendering.
