LDPC Encode for Unequal Error Protection

Irregular LDPC codes have Unequal Error Protection (UEP) property, however, that is difficult to utilize due to their random encoding. This paper firstly overviews the efficient encoding of LDPC codes, based on which we proposes a linear encoding for UEP. From the simulation results, the proposed encoding can improve the performance.
