Capacity Problem of Wireless Sensor Networks
|
Abstract:
Introduces the background, basic theories and current researches on the capacity of wireless sensor networks, and then proposes a virtual antenna technique of beam forming to improve the capacity under the condition of limited per-sensor power. That is, making use of the cost-effective communication between sensors due to the high density of the dense sensor networks, source sensor transmits the data to as many neighbor nodes as possible. Then the neighbors forward the received data to the sink as virtual antenna by using the beam forming technique, which enhances the power of the received signal, and accordingly improves the capacity of wireless sensor networks.
