This paper proposes a simple method of 3D information acquisition using structured light. A black strip project pattern is projected on the object using a projector and the moving strip can scan the whole object. The object shape is estimated by the strip distortion on the object and it implements the 3D information acquisition. This method only uses a projector and a digital camera to acquire 3D information. It is proved of simple implement, high relatively accuracy and expansibility.
