Blind watermark algorithm for color image based on YIQ color space

Abstract:
This paper proposed a digital watermarking algorithm for color image watermark embedded to color host image based on YIQ color space to protect image copyright. Before embedding the watermark, processed color image that viewed as watermark into one dimension digital information and transformed the RGB space model of color host image to YIQ model. Then, according to the human visual system peculiarity and quantizing the wavelet coefficient, embedded encrypted watermark adaptively into the Y luminance component of the YIQ mode in IWT domain. The proposed algorithm allows extracting watermark without the help of original watermark and host image. Experiment results show that the proposed watermarking algorithm is invisible and robust against various signals processing such as noise adding, JPEG compression, geometric cropping, and smooth filtering etc.
