An efficient probabilistic syntactic analysis algorithm uses a table of function words and a set of probabilistic context-free rules containing the function words in the syntactic analysis. Focusing on the function words, it recognizes all of the phrases which contain some function word, and analyzes the relationship of the phrases, to form the syntactic tree. An experiment shows that it can gain a high precision.
