Survey of Research on Native XML Databases
纯XML数据库研究综述*

Although XML is a special markup language for Internet, it has been become the standard for data representation and exchange on Internet. With the emergence of a lot of XML documents, how to manage and query them effectively has been become a hotspot for database researchers. This paper discusses and analyzes the status quo and trend of XML database research, and gives the evaluating to the open and challenging problems in XML database research.
