FEZW: A New Fractal and Wavelet Hybrid Video Encoding Algorithm
一种分形与小波混合视频编码算法FEZW*

A fractal wavelet hybrid video encoding algorithm FEZW was proposed. Based on the EZW, this algorithm applied fractal theory in inter-frame prediction without motion vector estimation and compensation. The experiment results show that FEZW is quality scalable, the video quality decreases gracefully along with the increase of the truncated bit stream length. This feature is very suitable for video transmission over error-prone network, such as wireless networks.
