An Effective Algorithm of Skin Detection

The feature of skin color is an important feature of human being, which plays a key role in human face detection and recognition, objectionable image filtering based on content, etc. This paper analyses the feature of YUV color space system and propose a new skin-color model based on elliptic area. Applying this model to objectionable image filtering system based on content, results show good performance of this model in skin detection.
